I guess I am bringing this journal back. I really need to get back into eating healthy and excercizing on a regular basis.

Yesterday was my first day of getting back into it.

I did pretty good. Ate healthy all day, only one thing of junk food, ONE piece of chocolate after dinner.

I also went for an hour long hike up Cowel's mountain with my friend Amber.

I am off to a good start already....

Yesterday was another naughty day. I ate bad all day long. I feel terrible about it today.

Today I did go to Pilates, but we had a different teacher, who wasn't very good, and sounded a lot like a robot. My sister and I were laughing at her the whole time, she kept repeating the same things over and over again, in a very monotone voice.

I am eating healthy today. I had a black bean burrito in a whole wheat tortilla for brunch, and then for a snack I ate some snap peas. In a little while Russ and I are going over to my parent's house to go swimming!

So the past two days I have done really good eating. I went to the gym Thursday night and worked out on the eliptical machine for about an hour, and then did my pilates class.

For food today I have had a caesar salad for lunch, an orange, and a very small bowl of ice cream.

Tomorrow is pilates, my sister got her wisdom teeth pulled and isn't going, but my mom might come with me instead!

Sorry for no update yesterday. I got home kind of late and was tired. I did eat very healthy yesterday. I ate eggs for breakfast, a salad for lunch, a salad for dinner, and ONE (not four!!!) slice of pizza!

I did not go to the gym, but I went swimming with Erin, and did laps for about half an hour.

Today I have been very good as well. Instead of eggs for breakfast I ate a veggie burger with a little bit of ketchup, and two cups of tea. For lunch I had a nice big salad and a whole wheat tortilla. Dinner hasn't happened yet, but we are talking about getting burritos, maybe I will get my favorite, broccoli, cauliflower, potato, and cheese burrito!!

I did go to the gym today with my sister. We worked out for about forty five minutes, and I burned 400 calories. I got on the scale after finishing working out, and I am down to 144 lbs!!! This is an all time low for me! I have lost 5.5 lbs since I started writing in this journal!!

I am happy with my progress so far. :)

I went to the gym today for two hours with my sister. We did our pilates class, and an hour of cardio. I burnt around 400 calories!

I ate kind of a lot, but the majority of it was healthy, and I have been so good this past week I am not going to dwell on it. I will just move on, and improve.

I ate two eggs for breakfast, a caesar salad and seven huge onion rings (I know, I shouldn't have eaten fried food!!), an apple for a snack, and later a bunch of grapes for a snack. For dinner I ate black bean and cheese tacos.

I feel really full, and even though I know I didn't really, I feel like I completely pigged out today, maybe because I have been doing so well this week.
So I did very good yesterday. When we went to the bar I didn't have a single drink. The night was not as much fun as I hoped, but I guess I need to learn to have fun being the only sober person.

This morning I kind of combined breakfast and lunch. We went out to breakfast at Antique Row, by far the best breakfast place in San Diego, and I had a salad and a veggie burrito. The burrito had onions, peppers, olives, sprouts, tomatos, avocados, and cheese. It was delicous. I feel like I really over ate though. I had enough self control to not eat all the friend potatos they put on my plate!! I will have to eat a lite dinner to make up for all that I ate this morning.

I am meeting my sister in half an hour to go to the gym, we are just doing cardio today, but are going to do pilates and cardio early tomorrow morning. It is amazing, I am starting to really get into these classes, I really look forward to them.

More later....

UPDATE at 8:51 PM

So I went to the gym earlier and did cardio for 45 minutes. I burnt off a total of 400 calories!!

For a snack today I ate almonds and two cups of green tea. I had a bioled potato with butter, veggie burger (no bun) with ketchup, and some mixed vegitables. I think I did pretty good today, since I had combined breakfast and lunch.

Did pretty good as far as eating today. I had two eggs sprinkled with chedder cheese for breakfast. For lunch I went to Subway and ate a six inch veggie on wheat bread, with no cheese and no mayo (way me!). I just finished dinner, which was a quarter of a plate of spaghetti, and a half plate of veggies. I think I did pretty good. I had no snacks, but I am currently working on my second cup of green tea, each sweeted with Equal.

I did not go to the gym like I had planned, but I did walk around the zoo with Sharise for about two hours, so we got a pretty good workout with that.

Tonight I am going to the bar with Russ and his friends (Kolob, his jug band is playing) but I am not going to drink! Hopefully I can stick with it, I will let you all know tomorrow if I can make it through the night.

Tomorrow I am going to the gym, no classes tomorrow, just cardio.

My body feels so much more refreshed every day, and I am feeling better about myself. Seeing such rapid results only makes me want to work harder at getting in shape and healthy!!

Today I ate two scrambled eggs for breakfast, for lunch I had a salad and a tortilla. Right now I am dinner as I type, I am eating half a plate of veggies, and Boca Cheeseburger. For a snack today I ate a red apple.

My sister and I did two hours at the gym again today. I was planning on going and working out for an hour, but my friends came over and distracted me from going!

Today for breakfast I had two eggs, for lunch a salad and two corn tortillas, and for dinner I had a broccoli, couliflower, potato, and cheese burrito.

Sharise even came over and ate yummy looking rolled tacos in front of me, though I was very tempted to run to the taco shop as well, luckily I resisted! I think I am off to a really good start.

Tomorrow evening I am going to Pilates at 7:30, hopefully my sister will go with me.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, that I weighed myself, and I have lost 1.5 pounds since last week!

So I am starting this journal as an inspiration, and modivation to get/stay in shape. I will be logging the foods I eat during the day, the excersize I do, and pretty much whatever else I feel ought to be in here.

First off I suppose I should write a few guide lines I follow while selecting my food. I am vegetarian, so absolutely no meat, though I do try to eat eggs every day to get lots of protein (along with soy products, and lots of beans). I do not eat fast food, and haven't for over a year, well I ate it once, but it was "healthy fast food" (if such a thing exists)! I only drink soda on the weekends, when I mix diet coke and rum. I do a lot of partying and drinking, which is one thing I know I greatly need to cut back on in order to get in to shape the way I want to be. I am quitting eating fried foods, for the obvious reasons. I am trying to significantly decrease the amount of white flower I eat every day (eg. white bread, tortillas, pasta, etc).

With all that said, you now know what my plan for eating is, now if I can stick to it, that will be another story, but damnit, I am going to try!

As far as excersizing, I got to 24 Hour Fitness. Well let me rephrase that, I have a membership to 24 Hour Fitness. This past week I have gotten better about going, and have started taking Pilates class there as often as I feel necesary for my body. I am trying to start going for cardio also, which I find a little more difficult, since I get bored of it easily.

So what are my goals? Besides the obvious, to lose weight, I guess my main goal is to try and change my diet, so I naturally lean towards healthier foods, and make it a routine to get some excersize on a daily basis, so I can live a healthy life now, and when I am older.
